Save the Date: Evening of Remembrance

On December 12, people from all over Oakland will gather to commemorate the lives of loved ones lost to violence at our annual Evening of Remembrance. We would be honored if you would join us in this effort to start Oakland on the path to peace.

Tuesday, December 12, 2006 — 5pm-8pm
Jack London Inn: 444 Embarcadero West, Jack London Square

Please join us as we honor those we have lost in 2006 and in years past. We invite you to bring a photograph or memorial if there are loved ones that you would like to honor.

There will be food, refreshments, entertainment, holiday gifts, and information about compensation for victims and surivivors of violence. Speakers and entertainers include: gospel singer Lorrain Taylor; Arnold Perkins (Alameda County Public Health); Van Jones (Ella Baker Center). Limited free parking.
