March 10, 2008, Books Not Bars held a press conference and rally to support the Family Communication and Rehabilitation Act (SB 1250) and the Keeping Families Whole Act (AB 2070). The event began with Senator Leland Yee and included a performance dramatizing the plight of families with youth in the prison system.
